Georgia Dizzy Dean Welcomes Travel Baseball

Welcome to the new home page of Dizzy Dean Travel Baseball. At our annual National Board meeting in November the Georgia Dizzy Dean board presented a proposal to begin a travel baseball program in 2015. By a nearly unanimous vote it was decided that Georgia could begin a 1-year pilot program. We have looked forward to this happening for several years and now it is a reality. Not only will Georgia teams be able to participate, teams from other states will be able to sanction through Georgia and play as well. If the program is a success this year, next year our other states will be able to have their own DDTB programs. We believe that next year DDTB will be a National program that started right here in Georgia. Our Georgia Dizzy Dean parks will be able to host tournaments throughout the year and use the proceeds to do improvements at their facility. The purpose of this program is to expand Dizzy Dean Baseball and offer a higher caliber of baseball for those teams and players who seek it with the emphasis on tournament play.  Also, to keep those teams coming out of the recreational program competing in Dizzy Dean. The official rules of Dizzy Dean shall be the basic set of rules for the program with amendments and changes made that will differentiate it from the Dizzy Dean recreational rules and requirements. This program will be an addition to the current Dizzy Dean program and is meant in no way to impact the rec program.
